A: CLC Rec is Catonsville Lacrosse Club’s community-based Spring lacrosse program. It is designed for boys and girls who want to learn the game, build skills, have fun, and compete with their friends in a positive team environment.

Rec is open to players of all experience levels, and there are no tryouts.

Ville is our more competitive program for players looking for additional instruction, practices, and competition throughout the year.

A: The Rec season runs in the Spring. Practices are expected to begin in March, with games beginning later that month. The season typically runs through late May or early June.

Practice and game schedules vary by age group and team. Coaches may practice up to two times per week.

A: It depends on the age group and registration numbers.

Our goal is to offer In-House Rec whenever there is enough interest to form a team. In-House teams play a local schedule with games in Catonsville.

If there are not enough players to form an In-House team, we will work with families to determine the best option, which most likely will include participating in the MYLA league. They do travel throughout Baltimore County.

A: In-House means we have enough players to form multiple CLC teams within an age group, allowing those teams to play a full season against each other here in Catonsville. There is no travel required for In-House teams.

A: No. CLC Rec does not have tryouts. The program is open to all players who want to participate.

A: CLC Rec is a volunteer-based program, and many of our coaches are parents of players.
